(VIDEO) LaVar Ball Fires Back at Joel Embiid

The saga continues, there is no question that Joel Embiid is tired of hearing LaVar speak everytime he is in public. After Embiid said “F*** LaVar Ball” on Instagram Live, this is what LaVar had to say.

After Embiid said “F*** LaVar Ball” on Instagram Live, this is what LaVar had to say.

Honestly, this is a joke!!! Why is a 48-year-old man going at it with a 23-year-old? Maybe both of them love attention and want everyone to speak about it.

Last year, when Embiid was healthy, he averaged 20.2 points per game, 7.8 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, and 2.1 assists. I know for sure everyone is waiting for the first game these two teams faceoff.

Magic Johnson Says D’Angelo Russell Was Not A Leader

Two days before the draft, Magic made the decision of trading his 21-year-old point guard and Timofey Mozgov to the Brooklyn Nets, for Brook Lopez.

On Friday morning, Magic Johnson, the Lakers president of basketball operations, was asked about his decision to trade Russell and he did not hold anything back.

“D’Angelo is an excellent player,” Johnson said, per’s Baxter Holmes. “He has the talent to be an All-Star. We want to thank him for what he did for us. But what I needed was a leader. I needed somebody also that can make the other players better and also [somebody] that players want to play with.”

Tough love from the greatest point guard ever, now that Russell is out of Los Angeles. Lonzo Ball has the green light to run this team. Johnson said Lonzo was the new face of the franchise and who he believes will lead them to a championship.

For Russell, I believe he will become an All-Star for the Nets. Every year, his game has grown, in his rookie season, he averages 13.2 pts, 3.4 rebs, 3.3 asts, and 1.2 stls and last year, which was his 2nd season he averages 15.6 pts, 3.5 reb, 4.8 asts, and 1.4 stls. So D’Angelo Russell will only keep growing as a player and will be able to become an All-Star in Brooklyn.

Damian Lillard Says He Would Like To Play for Lakers or Utah

Damian Lillard is one of the top point guards in the NBA. Alongside with C.J. McCollum, Portland has one of the best backcourts in the league.

Lillard had time to kill so he did a Twitter Q&A and this question came up. When asked if he would like to play for another team, he had this to say.

If the Blazers were dumb enough to trade Lillard, the Lakers can be a great team for him. Especially with all the young talent they currently have, he can be a leader and maybe take the Lakers deep in the playoffs. For the time being, Portland fans have nothing to worry, Lillard is locked up for the next four NBA season.

Lakers Bringing Lonzo for 2nd Workout, & Markelle Fultz for 1st

The Los Angeles Lakers are being careful on choosing the best possible player for the number 2 pick in the 2017 NBA draft.

With only a few days left, according to LA Times, the Lakers are bringing Lonzo Ball for a second workout and Markelle Fultz for his first one. Ball had his first workout last week and the Lakers were very impressed with his passing and scoring, but there is reports Ball was out of shape.

Markelle Fultz, the freshman point guard out of Washington is predicted to be drafted by the Celtics who hold the first pick, but nothing is settled in the NBA. Fultz will be working out with the Lakers on Thursday, per Mike Bresnahan from Sports Spectrum.

I believe both prospects are franchise players. Both have the inability to make your team and teammates better. It is going to be interesting to see who the Lakers choose at No. 2.

LaVar Ball Banned from Lakers Workout

On Tuesday morning, the coach for the Los Angeles Lakers Luke Walton said LaVar Ball will not be allowed to attend Lonzo Ball’s workout. He stated that LaVar is free to join them for dinner but will not be allowed to be at the workout.

On the Jim Rome Show, he went on and say:

“Absolutely. If he wanted to come to the dinner. I think the workout is something that we’ll keep the doors closed on, but the dinner, I think he would definitely make the dinner more entertaining. He’s definitely welcomed to join us for that one.”

Lonzo’s father has been very vocal on where he wants his son to play. If the Boston Celtics select guard Markelle Fults from Washington with the first pick. The LA Lakers will most likely draft Lonzo Ball from UCLA with the 2nd pick. He would be joining a young talent core in D’Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson, and Brandon Ingram.

Julius Randle Transforms His Body For the Upcoming Season

The Los Angeles Lakers wanted to see Julius Randle is the best shape he has ever been.

Six weeks after the end of the regular season and a little over 3 weeks of intense training, Randle is looking the best he has ever been.

Randle has been working out with his trainer Amolia Jamil Cesar. The 22-year-old will make Magic Johnson happy when he reports himself to training camp.

Lonzo May Only Work Out for Lakers

According to Ramona Shelburne from ESPN, Lonzo Ball may only work out for the Lakers before the NBA Draft.

LaVar Ball said, “That’s all we working out for is the Lakers, There’s nobody else that we need to work out for.” per Lakers Nation.

The former UCLA Bruins, Lonzo Ball is one of most talented player in this years NBA draft. I’m sure, the Lakers fans would love to have Lonzo in their team. Having a young talented point guard who can make others teammates better, would help the Lakers make some noise in the western conference and maybe make it to the playoffs next year.

The Celtics have the 1st pick, they will be choosing from a batch of young talented players like Markelle Fultz, Josh Jackson, De’Aaron Fox, and Jayson Tatum.

Even though George still has one more year of his contract with the Indiana Pacers, he can opt out and be traded for a team like the Lakers. George is a 4-time All-Star who is coming off the best season in his career. He averages 23.7 points per game, 6.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists and a career-best field percentage 46.1 percent.
